The rules and expectations for playing on the PupLand SMP Minecraft server. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly, family-friendly, pup-play-positive community built on respect and consent.

Accepting these terms

By joining and playing on the PupLand SMP Minecraft server, visiting this website, or participating in our Discord community, you agree to follow these terms and our server rules. If you do not agree, please do not connect to the server or join our Discord.

These terms are here to keep the pack safe, happy, and welcoming for everyone. They apply to all players, visitors, and community members.

Who can play

  • Family friendly: Keep chat, builds, skins, and names appropriate for a mixed-age audience. No explicit sexual content, excessive swearing, or shock material.
  • LGBTQ+ friendly: PupLand is a safe space for LGBTQ+ players, pup play community members, allies, and anyone who wants to play in a respectful environment. Identity-based harassment, deadnaming, misgendering, or slurs of any kind are not allowed.
  • Age expectation: Players should be old enough to meet Discord's Terms of Service (13+) because our community coordination and announcements happen on Discord. Younger players are welcome with a guardian's awareness and support.
  • Pup-play positive: Pup play gear, references, and roleplay are welcome as long as they stay family friendly and consensual. No kink or adult behavior in public spaces.

Don't touch, claim, or roleplay with others without clear permission.

Inclusion

Welcome new pups and help them find their paws.

Honesty

No cheating, scamming, lying to staff, or exploiting bugs.

In-game conduct

PupLand SMP is a no-PvP, community-focused survival server. The full rule set is on the About page, but the basics are:

  • No PvP, griefing, stealing, or destroying other players' builds and items.
  • Respect land claims and personal space. Don't build too close to someone else without asking.
  • No cheating, hacked clients, x-ray, or exploits that give unfair advantages.
  • Keep public farms, shops, and community areas clean and fair for everyone.
  • Don't spam chat, advertise other servers, or beg for items, ranks, or permissions.

Chat and Discord

Our Discord server and in-game chat are extensions of the same community. The same expectations apply in both places:

  • No hate speech, slurs, harassment, threats, or bullying of any kind.
  • No sexual, explicit, or fetish content in public channels or public chat.
  • No doxxing, sharing private messages, or posting anyone's real-life information without consent.
  • Use the right channels and listen to staff when they redirect conversation.
  • Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines apply on our Discord server.

Privacy and data

PupLand SMP does not intentionally collect personal information beyond what is needed to run the Minecraft server and this website. We do not sell data, run ads, or use tracking cookies for advertising.

When you join our Discord, Discord's own privacy practices and Terms of Service apply to your account and messages there. We do not scrape, archive, or share Discord messages outside the community.

Enforcement

Staff enforce these terms in good faith to protect the community. Depending on the situation, enforcement may include:

  • A friendly warning or conversation.
  • A temporary mute or ban from the Minecraft server or Discord.
  • A permanent ban from the Minecraft server or Discord.
  • Reporting serious violations to Discord, Mojang, or relevant authorities when required.

If you believe a warning, mute, or ban was made in error, you can request a review. See our appeal process for the steps, template, and timelines. Staff decisions are final once an appeal has been reviewed.

PupLand SMP is an independent, fan-run community and is not affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft, Discord, or any other platform. We provide the server and website "as is" and do not guarantee uptime, saved progress, or the behavior of other players.

These terms describe the current rules and practices shared by PupLand SMP staff. They are not a legal contract, lawyer-reviewed document, or certification by any third party.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the server, community, or platform rules change. The latest version will always be posted here with an updated effective date. Continuing to play after changes means you accept the updated terms.
